Information Collection, Use, and Sharing
We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.
We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to ship an order.
Orders (Hip Hop Shop)
We request information from you on our order form. To buy from us, you must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we’ll use this information to contact you.
Security
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.
Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page.
While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
If you feel that we are not abiding by this privacy policy, you should contact us immediately via telephone at 404-396-5838 or via email at
info@hiphopenquirer.comHow this website works
Featured videos may begin with a clearly labeled sponsor commercial. Playback reporting records daily browser starts and completions for private HHE editorial reports. Google display advertisements may be enabled on eligible public content pages. When enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and process information for ad delivery and measurement, subject to the consent choices made through the configured consent system. Google ads do not run on HHE staff, account, guest-chat or checkout pages.
Private guest appointments store the guest name, chosen time, conversation type and text messages. An invitation and an opaque browser cookie restrict guest access; authorized HHE editors and administrators can manage appointments and conversations. Invitations are not sent automatically. Video meetings use the host’s chosen meeting provider.
Card details are collected directly by Stripe through its hosted payment pages. HHE receives payment status, order references, and the contact and shipping details needed to fulfill an order.
Reader accounts use a public display name and a passkey. HHE stores the passkey’s public credential, not your fingerprint, face scan, device PIN, or password-manager secrets. Approved comments appear publicly under your chosen display name.
An opaque first-party visit cookie lasts 30 days and helps prevent duplicate article views, engaged reads, image impressions and photo-enlargement counts. Each metric counts a browser at most once per item per UTC day. Deduplication hashes are kept for up to 35 days and aggregate daily counts are retained. HHE does not store IP addresses or account identities in these analytics records. Detailed reports are restricted to administrators and editors; known automated user agents and signed-in staff activity are excluded. Engaged reads also contribute to the homepage’s 30-day readership ranking. Authorized staff moderate comments and manage editorial and commercial records.
YouTube video playback
Some videos are supplied through YouTube’s embedded player. YouTube thumbnails may load from its image servers before playback. YouTube’s player loads when you choose Load YouTube Player. Loading or playing a video connects your browser to YouTube, which may receive information about your device, connection and playback under Google’s Privacy Policy. Playback is subject to YouTube’s Terms of Service. YouTube measures playback in its own analytics. HHE does not add its uploaded-video tracking to these embedded players. HHE does not request your YouTube password, likes, subscriptions or private channel information.
