The crew who started a national dance craze in 2010 with their hit “Teach Me How To Dougie” has lost another member of their group over the weekend. Cali Swag District’s JayAre was hospitalized Thursday for unknown reasons, shortly after, he went into cardiac arrest and died.
JayAre, whose real name was Cahron Childs, suffered from sickle cell anemia and it was later determined that he passed away from complications of the disease. Fellow Cali Swag District member General Da Smoove tweeted this yesterday.
Unfortunately for the young rap group, this is not the first time that the group has had to deal with the death of a member. In 2011, member M-bone was murdered in a drive-by shooting.
