Interview: A Kinder, Gentler Waka Flocka Has Seen the Light for His Future

Recently, Urban Informer of 93.9 WKYS sat down with rapper Juaquin Malphurs who goes by his stage name Waka Flocka for an exclusive interview. After dealing with the recent death of his brother Kayo Redd, Waka has completely transformed, “You want to just change and progress and elevate so that’s my motivation.” He’s touring overseas and says the fans are completely different, “they don’t get to see these artists everyday so they appreciate it more.”

As far as his love life goes Waka is engaged to be married to his long-time beautiful fiance Tammy Rivera and the couple are part of the cast for the new season of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.” He admits to not being a “romantic” guy but speaks on getting married, “you don’t know what you want until it walks in your face.” When asked about reconciling with rapper Radric “Gucci Mane” Davis he gave his honest answer, “it’s over for me…only thing I wear that’s Gucci is the clothing line…as a friend it’s over.”
