Chance the Rapper has finally released Surf, his new collaborative album with his live band, The Social Experiment.
Chance has been teasing his fans with the concept of Surf since last year and delivered the project just in time for the summer. The album has Donnie Trumpet’s name on it but it is definitely a group effort that features up and coming artist Raury and Joey Purp. The album is a wonderfully blended mix of rap, jazz, singing, and beautiful “feel good” music.
The project includes some big name features for it to be a label free product. The big names featured on the project are J Cole, Big Sean, Busta Rhymes, Janelle Monae, Erykah Badu, and Jeremih. Surf is available now for download for free via itunes.
