Recently, NYC rap has taken the sounds from the past, bringing back the organic sound from the 90’s. Artists like Joey Bada$$, who brings back the gritty lyrics and throwback beats, are bringing New York rap back on the map.
Bronx rap star, Produkt, always delivers when it comes to producing music with impeccable lyricism and he gives listeners a dose of his gritty knowledge. On “Wolves & Sheep,” he speaks about his view on friendships and what people really want from certain situations. While saying that he plans to leave them all behind and remain focused on what is important, he states that “time is more precious than gold.”
“Friends turn into niggas that try to get a buck out of you. B***hes are on a beg and a come up, with ass shots and high heels” he raps.
