Nipsey Hussle‘s Crenshaw Pop-Up shop hit Atlanta’s Fly Kix ATL boutique this past weekend, and to much delight, it wasn’t anything like your average celebrity meet and greet. Advertised through social media, the free event wasn’t plagued with endless liquor and beefy security only to get a glimpse of the Los Angeles rapper. Hosted by DJ Drama and fellow members of The Academy, Nipsey’s promo stop to the ATL showed and proved why his $100 mixtape doesn’t seem so far-fetched to fans and underground supporters.
Fans and taste makers, who showed up on time to a packed out Peters St. store, had just enough time to get antsy before DJ Drama introduced the man of the hour and the crowd closed in for photo ops. While a few fans were content with a good Instagram photo, many patiently waited in a line of other hip hop heads to get a moment with Nipsey Hussle.
When it comes to independent success and creative marketing, Nipsey Hussle proved that he’s got a working blueprint. By treating his Crenshaw mixtape as a valuable project, Hussle continues to expand his brand not only as an artist, but a strategic business man.
Take a look at a few photos from the event.
