Just a few months after his album release, Kendrick Lamar finally strikes “gold” with good kid, m.A.A.d city. According to a recent press release, the album which dropped October 22nd, is now officially certified gold for its sales exceeding 500K copies as of December 13th.
Upon its anticipated release, good kid, m.A.A.d city came in at No. 2 on the charts, with the very impressive 242K copies sold. It also came in No. 1 on the R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart.
Singles like “The Recipe” featuring Interscope Boss Dr. Dre, and “Swimming Pools (Drank)” continue to be radio favorites. The next single from the project will be “Poetic Justice” featuring Drake, and Lamar has already made it clear he wants Janet Jackson in the video premiere.
