Snoop Dogg Arrested In Texas

The Associated Press reported  that Snoop Dogg was arrested on Saturday for a misdemeanor drug charge. Although this is not that surprising,  Willie Nelson was busted at that same  Sierra Blanca highway checkpoint near El Paso, Texas 2010. In the case of Snoop , the Long Beach, California native owes the credit to a real snoop dog, which sniffed out some joints on his tour bus after a border agent smelled marijuana coming from the window.  With a little more than two ounces of greenery ,Snoop, who’s real name is Calvin Broadus ,was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and released. Judge Becky Dean-Walker of Hudspeth County told The A.P. that these cases are usually resolved by a no-contest plea and a mailed-in fine of up to $500. Thats a good thing, the last thing hip hop needs is another meaningful artist behind bars.
