The brainchild of veteran graffiti artist, Joseph “Tramp” Daly and his StarLight business partner Ishmael “Ish” Ford-Bey‘, the first two toys to roll out are actually characters plucked straight from the pair’s latest cutting edge animation properties, The Sure Shot and The Adventures Of The Untouchables.
Already a highly anticipated commodity among collectors, the StarLight Studio hip-hop figures will officially launch at an exclusive party next Thursday, June 14th at Kidrobot NYC (118 Prince St.) from 5-9pm. Celebrity DJ ?uestlove has been tapped to spin classic hip-hop for this special event. Tramp and Ish will also be on hand to sign the classic toys they developed as part of their larger vision of bringing real hip-hop culture to the animation world.
