Ice-T’s grandson, Elyjah Marrow, has been indicted on the alleged shooting death of 19-year-old Daryus Johnson.
The Cobb County, GA grand jury indicted the 20-year-old on five counts stemming from the June 2014 death of Johnson, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.
Marrow claimed that the shooting was accidental and that the stolen handgun he was holding went off by accident striking Johnson in the chest. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The Atlanta Journal Constitution Reports that Marrow was indicted June 4 on charges of involuntary manslaughter, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana more than an ounce, theft by receiving stolen property and possession of firearm during commission of a felony reckless conduct, according to the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office. This is a tragic incident by all accounts and hopefully this matter will be resolved for both families involved.
He is currently out on bond.
