Former Saturday night live comedian and actor Tracy Morgan is fighting for his life and one man is dead as a result of a Walmart tractor-trailer striking the comedian’s limousine tour bus.
The truck driver identified as Kevin Roper, 35, of Jonesboro, Georgia was just charged with death by auto and four counts of assault by auto, according to Middlesex County’s acting prosecutor and the state police.
The deceased man was identified as James McNair, a resident of Peekskill, NY; he also was a comedian who happened to be traveling with Mr. Morgan.
Morgan and his assistant Jeff Morgan both were listed in critical condition and were flown by helicopter to a nearby trauma facility.
Police believe the cause of the accident was the result of the tractor-trailer driver riding in the center lane and failed to notice the cars in front of him were traveling slow and when he realized his mistake it was too late for him to avoid the accident.
